A Hamilton teen is facing several charges after allegedly modifying a flare gun to hold ammunition.

Over the weekend, police say they received information that a man was in possession of a handgun.

Officers went to a home and found a flare gun sitting on a coffee table. “Police continued to check out the flare gun and noticed it had been modified to chamber .22 cali ammunition and it was loaded,” said Hamilton police in a news release.

Ethan Holdsworth, of Hamilton, is facing multiple firearm-related charges as well as failure to comply with probation.
