It has been a day since a small plane crashed in a Grimsby field and there is still no word on a cause.

It is the jurisdiction of the Transportation Safety Board to launch an investigation for any crash similar to the one that occurred.

They have not yet decided if they will investigate and will speak with the pilot Monday and go from there.

The crash was located a little less than a kilometer from the run way of the Grimsby Air Park.

The pilot had to squeeze out of the side window after the plane went down.

The 77 year old was conscious and alert when paramedics arrived.

There is damage to the left wing as well as a considerable amount of debris scattered in the area.

Planes were flying out of the Grimsby Air Park Sunday

The Transportation Safety Board will decided if they will launch an investigation after they have spoken with the pilot tomorrow.
