Tegan Versolatto

REPORTER, NIAGARA BUREAU

As a video journalist with CHCH, Tegan Versolatto is passionate about telling stories that matter to the people of Hamilton, Halton, Niagara and beyond.

Tegan got her start in broadcasting in her hometown of Woodstock, Ontario, where she was the host of ‘Daytime Oxford’ on Rogers TV in 2014. She then joined the CHCH news team in 2016 as a line-up editor for ‘Morning Live’, where she learned the true meaning of the phrase “news never sleeps”. Soon after, she was invited to join the ‘Evening News’ as a video journalist, and in 2018 she was tapped to become the station’s dedicated Niagara reporter.

Tegan’s education includes an Honours B.A. in Communications from Wilfrid Laurier University where she was awarded the 2015 Global Television Network Broadcasters of the Future scholarship. She has also completed a post-graduate certificate in Journalism-New Media from Sheridan College, where she was voted “Most Likely to Succeed” by her peers.

When she’s not on-air she enjoys cooking, lifting weights and petting as many dogs as she can.
