Ashley is a Toronto native who began her career in journalism in 2014. Upon graduation from a Television and Radio Broadcasting program she picked up and moved to Edmonton to be a part of the Breakfast Television family. Thrown right into the action as a producer, website manager, weather and traffic anchor as well as the Live Eye in the mornings, Ashley was also hired by the Edmonton Oilers as a featured columnist and community reporter.
After a year out west, Ashley moved home to pursue her sports journalism career in Toronto. She was added as the sideline reporter for the inaugural Raptors 905 season on NBA TV, and hired as host at the FNTSY Sports Network.
In October 2016, the opportunity surfaced to join the CHCH team as the weekend sports and weather anchor, and she jumped at the chance. Having frequented Hamilton on many occasions during football tournaments, she loved the city’s atmosphere and community.
Suited for sports, Ashley is an accomplished collegiate athlete in both basketball and soccer. She won OCAA player of the year and had her jersey retired in both sports at Seneca College, where she went on to coach the women’s varsity basketball program for five years after graduation.
