Sportscaster CHCH News at 6:00 & 11:00 Quick-witted sports anchor and reporter for CHCH News Ken Welch was born in Toronto in 1954. Although his family resided in Tweed, followed by Bramalea, it was in Belleville, Ontario, where Ken completed his elementary education, and obtained his high school diploma. After a two year sojourn at Kingston's Queen's University, Ken transferred to Carleton University in Ottawa, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in history.
