Juravinski Hospital notified CHCH that Stephanie McManus passed away around 6 o’clock this morning, Thursday January 21st, 2016.

Stephanie’s partner Mark says she died peacefully and with dignity. Her dying wish was to see her horse one last time and that wish came true less than 24 hours before she passed.

Stephanie got her dying wish yesterday, which was to see her horse one last time.  That wish was granted thanks to Zachary’s Paw’s for Healing, which is an organization that arranges much needed companion visits with hospital patients.

McManus was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer, two years ago. On Monday she was told she may only a few days left to live. Yesterday they spent 10 minutes together this and it was during this bitter sweet time Stephanie was able to say her final goodbye.
