OPP officer struck by vehicle on Highway 400

An OPP officer is in serious condition after being struck by vehicle on Highway 400 near Finch ave. early Tuesday morning.

It happened just before 1 am in the southbound lanes of the highway.

It’s believed the officer was conducting a traffic stop when he was hit and dragged for a short distance. The vehicle took off.

Police continue to look for a dark-coloured sports car, possibly an Audi.

All lanes have since reopened.
