Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating after a 19-year-old from Niagara Region was found dead in a northern Ontario lake on Thursday.
Officers responded to calls of a possible drowning in Papineau Lake in Papineau-Cameron Township shortly after 11 a.m.
OPP’s underwater search and recovery unit arrived at the scene and found the deceased teenager’s body in the lake.
The Office of the Chief Coroner and Forensic Pathology Service are directing the investigation.
