What is open and closed for the Canada Day weekend

Since Canada Day falls on a Sunday this year, Monday will be a stat holiday. Here is a look at what will be closed on July 2nd.

The Beer Store and LCBO will be open on Sunday but closed Monday.

Banks, government offices and Canada Post are closed.

GO Transit will run on a Saturday schedule on Monday, while the TTC, HSR, Oakville Transit and Burlington Transit will operate on a holiday schedule. There is a free shuttle in Hamilton on Sunday for Canada Day Fireworks and celebrations at Bayfront and Pier Four parks.

There is no change in garbage collection in Hamilton and the Niagara region. Waste collection in Halton will be pushed one day later for this week.

All Hamilton public libraries will be closed Sunday and Monday and all Hamilton civic museums will be closed Monday.

Most grocery stores and malls will be open Sunday but closed Monday, including Lime Ridge and Eastgate Square.
As for what will be open on Monday in Hamilton.

Senior centres, outdoor pools, Dundas driving park and Gage Park wading pools will be opened for regularly scheduled programming.

Recreation centres will be on modified hours and programs.

In Toronto many large attractions such as the CN Tower, ROM, Ontario Science Centre, and the Toronto Zoo will be open all weekend.
