NRPS search for hammer-wielding robber

A man is wanted for allegedly robbing a Niagara Falls sandwich shop with a hammer.

Niagara Regional Police officers were called to a report of a robbery at the Subway near Victoria Ave. and Jepson St. around 9 p.m. Monday night.

The man, armed with a hammer, entered the shop and stole the cash register drawer before fleeing on foot, police said.

He’s described as 5’10” tall with a slender build and in his mid 50s.

Police have released images security images.
