Niagara wants GO trains every day

The big push for GO train service down to the Niagara peninsula has begun. Politicians of all stripes are jumping on the Niagara GO train bandwagon. The public likes the idea too, but they don’t like the price tag that comes with it.

Right now, the only GO transit vehicles you see around Niagara region are buses.

A few years ago VIA Rail cut their service to Niagara because of a lack of customers. And almost everyone we talked to today liked the idea of a daily GO train coming to the Niagara region

But many of them added they wouldn’t take that train — they’d rather drive.
