Niagara man heads to New York to judge the best in show

First Published:

A Niagara area man is about to judge one of the oldest sporting events in North America.

The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show is second only to the Kentucky Derby and Steve Dainard will help pick the “best in show”.

Dainard is from Niagara Falls and after a few years of volunteering at Westminster he will be judging at the show for the first time.

“When you have an event that has that longevity and prestige, it’s an honour to be involved with any event of that calibre.”

Dainard will be judging 8 different breeds and nearly 100 dogs from February 10th to 13th.
