Warner Bros. has released the first official trailer for David Ayer’s upcoming DC super-villian ensemble film Suicide Squad. (The previous trailer wasn’t meant to come out publicly, but Warner decided to offer it up after it leaked). The film will try and channel the same magic that made Guardians of the Galaxy a hit for Marvel, taking a roster of relative unknown misfits and turning them into antiheroes. The cast features Will Smith as expert marksman Deadshot, Jared Leto as the Joker, Margot Robbie as his protege Harley Quinn, Joel Kinnaman as military man Rick Flagg, Viola Davis as the groups handler Amanda Waller, Jai Courtney as Boomerang, Cara Delevingne as the mystical Enchantress, and a cameo by Ben Affleck’s Batman.

Suicide Squad opens in theatres on August 5.
