Brock University welcomed over 2,000 first year students on Sunday.

Volunteers and staff were on hand to help new students unload their cars and get settled into their new home.

Many first years are moving away from home for the first time over the long weekend.

While some were nervous, excitement was the main feeling of the day.

There was also a free barbecue, pep rally and tower party for new and old students.

Brock’s O-Week kicks off on Monday.

There are a variety of events going on during the week to make new students feel welcome and help make new friends.
