A 28-year old Milton man died early this morning after crashing his motorcycle near the Ford Plant in Oakville. It’s fatal crashes like this that police are trying to prevent as they expect more motorcycles on the road as the weather warms up and they’re urging caution for both motorists and riders.

The OPP says more than 30 motorcyclists were killed on Ontario highways last year and more often than not, it was another driver’s fault. That being said it’s important for motorcyclists to use extreme caution when riding.

George Williams, an instructor at motorcycle training program, Learning Curves, says a motorcycle is never going to win a battle with a car. He suggests dressing in bright clothing to make it easier for other drivers to see.

There have been 3 accidents involving a motorcycle in the area today, two people have been killed in those crashes.
