The hearing for a suspended police inspector facing several charges under the police act has been held up again.
Hamilton police Inspector David Doel is facing charges of corruption, insubordination, discreditable conduct, and neglect of duty.
He was suspended in 2009 — but has continued to receive full pay and benefits.
A formal hearing has been put off, or delayed several times.
Wednesday, Doel’s lawyer told the hearing his client has been told by his doctors not to participate until next month.
The hearing has now been adjourned until January 13th by phone.
