Two additional cases at two Hamilton hospitals.
There’s a new case of C. difficile at Hamilton General Hospital and a new case at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
That brings the total number of cases at Hamilton General to 4 and the number at St. Joe’s Charlton Campus to 11.
Both hospitals are experiencing outbreaks of the potentially deadly virus.
Officials say they are aggressively cleaning by using a special cleaning agent designed to kill the virus.
The outbreaks won’t be declared over until there are no related cases for at least 30 days.
