Brantford Police say they believe a missing father and husband is headed to Nova Scotia.

John Thomas Lavoie, 46, has been missing since early Monday morning. He showed up for work at 5:30 that day, but minutes later, he walked out the door, leaving behind his keys and cell phone.

Surveillance footage (above) shows Lavoie at the Hamilton GO Centre on Hunter St. Police say there’s a possibility Lavoie is going to Nova Scotia, but he may have taken a transfer to Toronto first.

They say he doesn’t have family that lives there, but the location has been mentioned during the investigation.

Lavoie is 6’1″, with a medium build. He has short, dirty blonde hair and blue eyes and wears glasses. He was last seen wearing a buttoned blue shirt and khaki pants.

Brantford Police are anyone who’s seen Lavoie to call 519-756-7050. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Detective Kyle Barnes at 519-756-0113 x2266. Information can also be submitted through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
