Military training in Hamilton Harbour

First Published:

On May 28 and May 29, around 150 members from the HMCS Star, The Royal Hamilton Light Infantry and 23 Field Ambulance will participate in a training exercise in and around the Hamilton harbour.

The exercise will include a number of scenarios. The training exercise will not include live ammunition, and most activities will take place in Hamilton Harbour and the surrounding shoreline, where permission has been granted to the Canadian Armed Forces.

This type of training is necessary to prepare Canadian Armed Forces members for a variety of operations in land and sea environments, and maintain their readiness to respond to emergencies both at home and abroad.
