An incredible outpouring of support for the family of a North Toronto toddler who died yesterday after walking away from his apartment building in the middle of the night. A memorial with flowers, stuffed toys and cards continues to grow outside the apartment building which 3-year old Elijah Marsh wandered away from.

Throughout the day, there was a steady stream of people coming to pay their respects, many with young children of their own. It’s a tragedy that hit too close to home… “picturing it could be my son and the precautions that i am going to take from now on” says one woman.

Elijahs death has touched hearts across the country. An outpouring of support has also flooded social media… with people posting condolences using the hash tag #rip elijah

A crowdfunding campaign was hoping to raise $20,000 for funeral costs – more than $120,000 has been raised so far.
