McHappy Day sets record

Canadians from coast to coast took part in McHappy Day on Wednesday – some of the CHCH News team did as well.

For every big mac, happy meal or coffee sold, McDonalds donated a dollar to a children’s charity. And Hamilton, Dundas, Ancaster and Stoney Creek raised close to 46 thousand dollars.

The money went towards Ronald McDonald House Hamilton, City Kidz, McMaster Children’s Hospital and Good Shepherd. McHappy Say 2014 and a happy meal program helped raise more than 9 million dollars over the past year for Ronald McDonald Charities of Canada — the most they have ever raised in one year.
