Man trapped under train dies

A 47 year old man hit last week by a CN train has died.

Eric Nanibush was hit by the train between Wentworth and Victoria, early on the morning of September 10th. His neck was partially pinned under the train near a wheel.

According to the Hamilton Spectator, Nanibush was a former Hamilton resident and member of the Shawanga First Nation, which is 30 kilometres northwest of Parry Sound. He had returned to Hamilton for a medical appointment and was expected back the day he was hit.

He was unconscious and taken to Hamilton General Hospital where had been on life support.
