Man shot to death outside home on Highway 56

Update:

Homicide detectives have now charged Peter Khill, 26yr old from Binbrook with second degree murder. The deceased man has been identified as 29 year old, Jonathon Dwight Styres of Oshweken.

 

Police were called to the home around 3 this morning on Highway #56, where they found a man on the driveway with life threatening injuries. He was later pronounced dead on scene.

It is believed the deceased was trying to steal a truck in the driveway, when the resident Peter Khill confronted the man.  During the confrontation the man attempting to steal the truck died as a result of gunshot related injuries.

Road closures are expected to be maintained along Highway 56 between Golf Club Road and Regional Road 20 into the evening hours.
