Man charged with voyeurism after incident at community centre

A 44-year-old Oakville man has been charged with one count of voyeurism after an incident inside a community centre change room.

A woman told officers she caught a man filming her as she got ready to go swimming at the Iroquois Ridge Community Centre earlier this week.

Halton police received several tips from the public after they released a photo of a man they were trying to identify.

Ritesh Shah was arrested on Thursday and released on a promise to appear and an undertaking.

“Public safety is of paramount importance in our community. Halton Regional Police Service would like to thank the Town of Oakville, media and members of the public for their assistance in quickly identifying the accused,” said Halton police in a news release.
