Lovesick is a Canadian romantic comedy written and directed by Tyson Caron. It stars Jacob Tierney, Jessica Paré, Ali Tataryn, Rebecca Gibson, Ross McMillan, Adam Brooks, and Jay Baruchel.

Dash is a mess. He’s 33, broke, depressed and still in love with his ex: Lauren. Dash’s world explodes when suddenly Lauren gets engaged. Everything seems hopeless until he meets Nora; a spontaneous and unforgettable woman. But timing is everything and Nora’s not going to wait around.

Caron was thrilled to be able to shoot Lovesick in Winnipeg. “So many artists and local companies were offering us free items to use in the film. Everything from bracelets to t-shirts to original art work. Local artist Kevin Friedrich went above and beyond, designing and painting all of the artwork we needed for Dash’s studio. Together we came up with concepts and then Kevin would go to work in his studio and come back with an original piece that would help move the story forward. It was truly a collaborative process. This is how it works in Winnipeg. People work together for the greater good of art! It truly is one great city. Lovesick would be my love letter to Winnipeg. The city would be a major character in the film.”

Lovesick is rated 14A.
