The Toronto Maple Leafs, winners Friday night, and 5 of their last 6, were in Boston, just one point behind the Bruins entering this contest.

First period and Shawn Matthias, all alone on Tuukka Rask, but is denied.

At the other end, James Reimer with a fantastic save here on Brett Connolly.

Moments later, Loui Eriksson in on goal, turned away with a blocker save by James Reimer. He had 14 saves in the first.

Second period, Matthias again all alone is denied by Rask again!

Reimer was equally strong with David Krejci point blank but ‘Optimus Reim’ there with the save.

Third period and still scoreless. Matthias in alone again, and again he is denied.

Bruins Jimmy Hayes gets a couple of whacks at the puck but Reimer is standing tall, with a little help from Matt Hunwick.

Finally, with 3:43 remaining in the third, Zdeno Chara with a blast from the top of the circle beats Reimer.

Bruins added an empty netter. They beat the Leafs 2-0.

James Reimer made 35 saves and it’s the 6th straight game where he’s given up 2 or fewer goals.

Toronto hosts those same Bruins on Monday night.
