An important road closure in Burlington to tell you about. Lakeshore Road from Maple Avenue and North Shore Boulevard to the Skyway Treatment Plant will be closed from July 4th to mid-November for road improvements.

The city of Burlington says it’s widening the road to include three lanes, including a turning lane and on-road bike lanes. The city is also adding curbs, sidewalks and a signalled intersection to make the area safer for vehicles and pedestrians.

Jo Brant Hospital including the Halton McMaster Family Health Centre can be accessed using the Eastport Drive detour route. Detour signs are being posted.
