Ticat fans were notified Saturday night that the game between the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Toronto Argonauts would be played at the Tim Hortons Field.

However they wouldn’t know whether the Labour Day Classic would be played on Monday or Tuesday until Sunday night.

While fans were excited about the game, the players got their first look at the facilities on Sunday.

The sound system was tested and the gumbotron was fired up.

Meanwhile the clean-up continued after a fire in the mechanical room on Saturday.

The damage from the blaze is estimated at approximately $25,000.

Police say it is not suspicious and the fire marshal is investigating the cause and origin.

The stadium was originally scheduled to open on June 30th.

City officials were expected to make the announcement about Monday’s game at around 8-8:30PM on Sunday.
