It was a rousing success at the Edinborough and now “Julie Madly Deeply” is onstage in Toronto.

The crystal clear, note-steady singing of Sarah-Louise Young echoes Dame Julie Andrews’ voice in this affectionate salute from a life-long admirer.

Young manages to avoid the cliche of impersonation and instead presents an entertaining, informative portrait.

Sprinkled throughout the song-filled show Young narrates various facts and asides from Andrews’ career, allowing an intimate living-room atmosphere.

“Julie Madly Deeply” plays at Toronto’s Panasonic Theatre through October 19th.
