The operator of Jet Boat Tours has stopped offering the tours at the Queenston dock, but says the decision is not related to the Niagara Escarpment Commission refusing to allow him to put up a building in Queenston.

Jet Boat Tours operator John Kinney moved all jet boat tours booked to leave from Queenston to the Melville St dock in Niagara-on-the-Lake. He says the business will continue, with the boats using the old town dock, because of a drop in the number of riders.

Melville says he now has some work to do at the dock in Niagara-on-the-lake, to prepare it for dinner cruises he plans to begin operating in August. That’s when he hopes for a ruling that will allow him the liquor licence he needs to operate the cruises.
