Jerry Howarth retires

Spring Training begins on Wednesday and when you turn on the radio for the Blue Jays first Grapefruit League game on February 23rd, there will be no Tom and now there will be no Jerry.  After 36 seasons of calling balls and strikes, Jerry Howarth announced his retirement Tuesday morning.  Walking away had to do with the declining condition of his voice and the stamina it takes to be at his very best for an entire Major League season.
