The question for me still remains, a 15 year old child is thrown in jail after a 2 way fight that broke out on a school premises, but a cop can have a shoot out, costing a man his life and still walk away with a smile on their face?

I believe in my opinion and correct me if I'm wrong, but i thought that police are not supposed to open fire unless they're being shot at, no where in any of these clips I've seen showed that the man from the van opened fire at the police. Not impressed about the location of this event, and I think I speak for thousands of other parents.

Has it occurred to all, you police bashers that the victim drove at a police officer. Why can't you people wait until the investigation is concluded. The police can't win, if they don't shoot and the vehicles strikes and kills someone, why didn't they shoot, and when they shoot to preserve life, it's why did they shoot. I think the vast majority of intelligent people in this city will wait for the investigation to finish before passing judgement

I AM IRRITATED WITH HAMILTON POLICE! Not only did you take the young man's life, you fired a weapon NOT ONCE, BUT TWICE, but if taken within the quote that Police 'say they shot out the van's tires and one was damaged'---- HOW MANY SHOTS WERE FIRED? Within a school district, within a population that is surrounded by students
    This makes no sense.
THEY SHOT THE YOUNG MAN THROUGH THE WINDOW in broad daylight.

The true question remains why would the "unmarked" cops risk a persons life shooting at this man multiple times over a police chase and a possible fail to appear? They not only took a young mans life but they also risked shooting a innocent bystander. What disturbs me the most is at the time of the chase and shooting, the two schools on Albright street were having their lunch break and the kids at that time are usually flooded around that exact location. The police made a poor decision, what gives them the right to kill this man and put those kids at risk of being either hit by the chase or shot by the cops.

I am a mother a teenager who attends Bishop Ryan high school and I am not impressed with the police actions in this incident as they are firing their weapons in an area around two schools and involved in a car chase.
This is extremely disheartening to me to have to worry about these sort of actions in and around school area especially during the middle of the day.
