The male cub is one of three born on October 11th to Aurora. She rejected the cubs at birth and two of them died. To insure his survival, the little guy was given around the clock care.
Graham Crawshaw, Senior Veterinarian at the Toronto Zoo: "He was initially fed several times a day. As he grew those feedings were reduced. And he demonstrated from the start a good appetite, good growth rate and has now grown to 17 kilos."
Names for the new cub are being accepted until March 16th.
