Lighting launches hanukah in Mississauga
Members of the jewish community kicked off hanukah celebrations tonight.
A local synagogue celebrated the start of the eight-day festival of lights at the Mississauga Living Arts Centre. The evening featured traditional foods, and the lighting of the first candle on the menorah. Rabbi Yitzchok Slavin said the community is also using the event to help the local food bank.
