Hydro out in Haldimand

First Published:

The lights are out for over 600 hundred people in North Haldimand after a dump truck knocked down several hydro poles.

It happened along Haldimand Highway 56 just after six this morning.

The area where the power is out is bordered by the Grand River and the eastern side of the county, stretching between York and highway 3.
About 650 people are without power and Seneca Central School is closed.

Officials say it could be late Monday night before everything is back to normal.
