Police have now confirmed their search of a Wainfleet home is linked to a murder investigation of a missing Toronto man. Detectives have been on scene at O’ Reilly’s Road for the past 24 hours

Neighbours say early Tuesday afternoon police blocked off the road, arrested at least one man, and began their search of the property.

Police forensics officers have been searching the property at 50843 O’ Reilly’s Road for three days now.

A dive team scoured the pond and officers searched farmland. Today police dogs were looking into nearby abandoned rail cars.

Neighbours say two men who looked to be in the late 20’s moved in about six weeks ago. They looked sketchy and were antisocial with a lot of tattoos.

Apparently one of the men knocked on a neighbour’s door and asked to borrow a wheelbarrow because he had to mix eight bags of cement.

Another said the police asked them if the men had borrowed a backhoe. A backhoe was seen behind the house and is now gone.

Neighbours say when the men first moved in they saw a woman walking down the gravel road. When asked why she was crying she said one of the two men told her if she came back he would kill her.

Neighbours say police towed away a silver gray car. The owner of that car hasn’t been seen for a couple of weeks.
