Hamilton’s LRT dream remains in debate

For years we’ve been hearing from politicians from all levels weighing in on whether or not Hamilton should proceed with the $1 billion light rail transit. Today it was the commuter’s turn to weigh in on the LRT. City Hall was packed with people from all across the city, to the point where there were overflow seats outside the chambers. 20 people, each with a five minute time-limit, expressed both enthusiasm and concern.

The talks didn’t stop there, councillors spoke to the LRT team for nearly two hours after in order to clarify their own concerns.
