The Palestinian Association of Hamilton held a vigil this morning for children killed as a result of Israel’s recent attack on Gaza.

Organizers placed 500 large white cardboard boxes in front of city hall; each, labelled with the name of every child killed during the attacks. A handful of residents participated in prayers, including Hamilton mayor Bob Bratina.

Today’s prayers follows the United Nations observance of the International Day of Peace.

According to the Palestinian Association of Hamilton, hundreds of children were killed during the last attack on Gaza, which was called ‘Operation Protective Edge’.
