Hamilton police Special Constable arrested for assault

A Hamilton police Special Constable was arrested and charged with assault today.

The incident took place while the 38 year old officer was on duty at John Sopinka Courthouse in Hamilton.

He has since been released on a Promise to Appear with conditions and is expected to appear in court on October 17.

He will be suspended from duties till then.
