Hamilton Police searching for missing elderly woman

Update: Dorothy Black is safe and is back home.

 

Hamilton Police say an elderly woman with dementia has gone missing from her downtown retirement home.

Police say Dorothy Black was last seen at Jackson Square Mall at 4 p.m. Wednesday.

The 81-year-old was reported missing from Montgomery Lodge the next day.

Police say she was last seen wearing a long white coat with fur, a long sleeved shirt with floral pattern and new black boots. She uses a walker.

She has dementia and is required to take daily medication which she does not have with her.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
