Man held in trailer for several days, two people charged

Hamilton police responded to reports of a kidnapping Tuesday morning near Wellington St. N and King William St.

It was indicated that an adult male was being held inside a trailer and had been there for several days.

Police searched the area and located a stolen trailer. Inside they found two suspects and the victim.

Police arrested 29-year-old Roxanne Atkinson and 39-year-old Michael Horner, both from Hamilton.

They have been charged with kidnapping, forcible confinement and theft.

The victim did not require any medical treatment.

Investigators believe this was a targeted incident and are asking anyone with information to call police or Crime Stoppers.
