Hamilton detectives investigate series of break and enters

First Published:

Hamilton police are actively investigating a series of break and enters at gas stations throughout Hamilton, Waterdown and Ancaster.

Police believe the same men broke into seven different gas stations between April 30 and May 30.

Detectives say the thieves are primarily targeting tobacco products during the break-ins.

The suspects have been caught on camera several times and appear to force their way inside by damaging the security measures on the entrance ways or by smashing through glass doors.

Investigators say the men are likely using a get-away vehicle to flee after they’ve robbed the store. Police describe them as having athletic builds and are between five-foot-ten and six feet tall.

Anyone with information about these crimes is asked to contact Detective Constable Darryl Oosterhoff at 905- 546-8936.
