The brother of a Burlington teacher trapped behind bars in Indonesia is reaching out to the Canadian government again.

Neil Bantleman is being held without charges as police investigate sex abuse claims involving students.

He’s been locked up for over three months.

His brother, Guy, thinks it’s about time that the minister of foreign affairs issue a formal statement on behalf of Neil.

He sent a letter Friday asking John Baird to speak up.

November 11th will mark 120 days that Bantleman has been in prison.

At that point he will either be charged or he must be released.
