A Guelph man has been arrested and charged after police say he was caught driving a stolen vehicle on Tuesday.

Ontario Provincial Police say they received a call around 5:50 p.m. about a stolen vehicle. The caller told police a 2015 GMC Sierra had been stolen from their home and another vehicle was left in its place.

About ten minutes later, a police officer spotted the stolen truck travelling south on County 29. The officer attempted to pull it over but the driver fled.

The stolen vehicle was equipped with OnStar and an operator from the company was able to use the Stolen Vehicle Assistance tool to remotely disable the truck.

Dustin Lucas, 20, is facing several charges including flight while pursued by peace officer, assault, and possession of property obtained by crime.
