A funeral will be held today for a 7-year-old girl hit by a minivan in the Toronto neighbourhood of Leaside last week.

Georgia Walsh was the daughter of Conservative Party of Canada president John Walsh. She died after being struck by a vehicle on July 16.

The funeral will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church on Bloor Street East at 2:00 this afternoon. Her family is asking that instead of flowers, donations be made in her memory to the Sick Kids Foundation.

No charges have been laid against the van’s driver.
