The old Kodak building was on the move in Toronto today. The entire 3000 tonne building was moved 60 metres as part of a massive light rail transit project.

It moved 8 inches a minute but take into account it is an 11,000 square foot four storey building that was built in 1939. A few of the people who actually worked at Kodak say this building played a big part of their lives and they’re glad it’s being saved and re-purposed.

The building is covered in graffiti on the outside, and the inside is even worse but a new foundation will be built and in about 8 months the Kodak building will make the trip back and then an underground station will be built underneath it.
