The former treasurer of a non-profit agency in Niagara Falls is facing serious fraud charges tonight.

Lorrie Penteluke, 46, is accused of stealing money and then trying to hide the theft from the group Celebrate Old Downtown. She had been a board member of the group. Other members went to the police when they found a discrepancy in their financial statement for the year 2012.

Because of the ongoing police investigation the chairperson for Celebrate Old Downtown refused to comment further.
