A fisherman is being credited with helping save a 52 year old man who jumped into the Niagara River this weekend.
It happened yesterday morning near the old fort in Fort Erie. Jeff Miller was visiting from Georgetown when he noticed the man jump into the water, and saw him struggling. That’s when he jumped into the water and dragged the man to shore.
“I saw this guy come off the shore there and going for a swim and I noticed he was floating down here awkwardly. And he was throwing up. I dragged him ashore and started to perform CPR.”
The man was rushed to hospital, and is expected to make a full recovery.
