Fatal street fight in Toronto

Update: 43-year old Levon Jolen Gammon has been arrested and charged with manslaughter in the death of 50-year old Paul Crombie.

One man is dead following a street fight near Toronto’s St. Lawrence Market last night. Police say it appears the man was knocked unconscious during a fight involving as many as six people at Front and Market Streets.

The victim was found without vital signs after suffering what police called a “significant head injury” and was later pronounced dead in hospital.

One man was taken into custody in connection with what police say is now a homicide investigation. Another person was also taken to hospital with unspecified injuries.
