Family speaks out in Layla Sabry disappearance

Emotions ran high in Welland over the weekend while Layla Sabry remains missing.

Though police issued an Amber Alert for the girl who is believed to be with her mother Allana Haist, they now say Sabry’s case has transitioned to a missing persons investigation.

Kelly Botelho was in Welland with reaction about Sabry, her mother and a recent family member who spoke out on social media.

Layla’s father, Mohamed Abdel-Motaleb, also released a statement saying ” I love my daughter very much and just want to be able to see her again.  So does my family.  We implore Layla’s mother to comply with the many court orders that have been issued, and to immediately contact the authorities.  Please let us see Layla again.”
